“Atticus” Tiny House Rental at Mt Hood Tiny House Village

“Atticus” Tiny House Rental at Mt Hood Tiny House Village

As some of you may already know, my Tiny House is currently parked at Mt. Hood Tiny House Village in Welches, Oregon. The village opened in May this year, and so far hundreds of guests have stayed in the five Tiny House rentals. Sometimes groups will rent all five tinies for events such as reunions or parties. I’m constantly honored to meet these enthusiasts and curious to hear their reactions! In exchange for my parking spot, I host open houses for the Mt. Hood Tiny House Village once a month. Make sure to stop by and see these beauties when our next event is announced online. If you can’t make it, no worries!  I am filming video tours of each rental, starting with the Atticus tiny house.

Mt Hood Tiny House Village Atticus Tumbleweed - 0024My night in the Atticus Tiny House rental

I even had the opportunity to stay in Atticus for a night! I found the space to be comfortable, and I really appreciated the closet. The loft was larger than my own, and it had me thinking about roof shapes and the difference they can make. The shower was huge in comparison to mine, though I do think a taller person would struggle with the shower head placement. I missed my staircase, but I agree that having a ladder in Atticus was the correct choice. All of the other Tiny Houses at Mt Hood Village have a staircase. In this way, Atticus is unique.

I think this is the benefit of staying in a Tiny House rental – deciding what works for you and what doesn’t. Now to commute back home to my cozy, custom tiny… just a few hundred feet from Atticus’s front porch!atticus-tiny-house1
